LEADER OF DOWN
The brainchild of former Motorhead guitarist Wurzel and bassist Tim Atkinson who recruited drummer Steve Clarke (Fastway, Tank) to work on the band's debut album "Cascade Into Chaos". After Würzel’s tragic death in 2011 the band continued to finish the album and enlisted the help of some friends to honour the great man. With guest appearances from Lemmy, Phil Campbell (who joined Motörhead on the same day as Würzel in 1984), Fast Eddie Clarke who has also sadly passed away recently, Whitfield Crane from Ugly Kid Joe who sang on “Born to Raise Hell” with Motörhead during Würzel’s time with the band, Lee Richard ex Godsmack and Richards/Crane, Bruce Foxton from The Jam, and Cliff Evans from Tank.
The album was eventually released in 2018 and was followed by "The Screwtape Letters" in 2022. www.youtube.com/watch
NOTHING SACRED
Nothing Sacred were formed in Melbourne, Australia, almost 40 years ago but this will be the band's first ever England show. The band's music incorporates Traditional Metal and Groovy Thrash. After having split up before the turn of the millenium, the band reunited and recorded their 2nd album "No Gods" in 2021. www.youtube.com/watch
MARQUIS DE SADE
Marquis de Sade were formed in 1980 by singer Kriss Gordelier, bassist Pete Gordelier (Angel Witch), drummer Gary Pope, guitarist Kevin Pope and keyboardist San Remo. The band was part of what became known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). After recording a handful of highly-prized demos and single, the band went on a hiatus but reunited in 2016 with the addition of keyboardist Giles Holland and guitarist Pauly Gordelier. This second incarnation of Marquis de Sade released the critically-acclaimed debut album "Chapter II" in 2023 via German label Golden Core Records.
